Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Face Wash Review

Hello everyone. While I was browsing Nykaa and trying to add something to my cart to avoid paying shipping charges, I found a new face wash: Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Face Wash. I am a regular user of the Lacto Calamine Lotion for Oily Skin and on seeing a new launch from the same brand made me buy the face wash. On a regular basis I use a face wash that has been prescribed by my dermatologist.

Packaging:
The face wash comes in a squeeze tube form and came wrapped with a clear film on the cap. The nozzle was sealed with a foil cap.

Quantity:
50ml

Price:
80 INR

Ingredients:
Lacto Calamine Face wash ingredients

Claims:
3 way action for oil balance.
1. Kaolin - contains natural minerals that absorb excess oil without removing essential nutrients from the skin
2. Glycerin - retains natural moisture, prevents excessive drying of the skin
3. Neem - prevents pimples with its anti-germs properties.

Review:
I am using this face wash for 3 weeks now and twice in a day. I completely agree with the first 2 claims of the product that it takes away all the excess oil from the face without making my skin dry. However, it doesn't prevent pimples but the face wash by itself didn't cause breakout. I got a very clear idea since I was trying out another makeup product along with the use of this face wash which happen to cause break out.
The product has fragrance very similar to that of the Lacto Calamine Lotion. This foaming face wash is white in colour and its consistency is like a body lotion. It does a good job of cleaning the dirt off my face and it doesn't leave my skin dry (which most of the oil free face washes do).

Pros:
  • Very affordable
  • Easily available
  • It takes off excess oil
  • Both oily skin and dry skin people can use it as it doesn't rip the skin off moisture
  • Small amount is required
  • Paraben free
Cons:
  • Contains SLS
  • Fragrance might be an issue
Final Verdict:
4/5. Had it not contain SLS, I would have given it a 5/5. The facewash works well but products containing SLS shouldn't be used as much. But for the love of Lacto Calamine it is worth giving a try.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner Pencil - Simma Brown Now

Packaging:   It ha s colour-coded packaging and hence brown in colour. It is a very long pencil (it might last me for a decade) that needs to be sharpened after 4-5 uses. The cap is a transparent one and had all the details of the product stuck in it.   Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner Pencil - Simma Brown Now   Quantity: 1.4 grams Price: INR 135   Ingredients List: Beeswax/Cire d’abeille, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax/Cire de carnauba, Ceresin, Petrolatum, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Mica, Chromium Oxide Greens/CI 77288, Iron Oxides/CI 77491, CI 77499.   Swatches!! (Left: 1 swipe     Right: 3 swipes)   Review: Would you be in shock if I say that I use this kohl pencil as a brow pencil? I seriously do it. The texture is waxy enough to be used as a brow pencil. It isn't the smoothest kajal pencil but better than those which crumble on account of their softness. Hence, I use it

Suncros Aquagel SPF 26 Review

Hello everyone. Today I'm going to review a sunscreen which is the Suncros Aquagel Sunscreen with spf 26. Of late I am only using products that are paraben free. As most of you know, paraben is a class of compounds that are used in cosmetics as a preservative. Although parabens help to keep our makeup and skin care products bacteria free, however it is said cause hormonal disturbance in our body. Hence, I prefer to be on the safer  side. I have used sunscreens from Lakme, Lotus, Khadi, Neutrogena and they all contain paraben. The Khadi sunscreen claims to be paraben free but I don't like its texture. On much research and consultation with a dermatologist I came across Suncros sunscreen. Suncros Aquagel Spf 26 Now, Suncros has many variants of sunscreens. You can find both cream and gel formulae sunscreens. Although this one has the term "gel"  in it, but the texture is actually that of a cream.  Packaging:   The sunscreen comes in a cubical c
