Colourpop Pressed Powder Eyeshadow - Top Notch

Hello there! I am yet again here with my review and swatch of another Colourpop Pressed Powder Eyeshadow. I bought this from an Instagram page called color_popper_india. Packaging: The eyeshadow comes in a pan which comes in a plastic holder. The outer packaging is a small, white slip-in pouch. It is a very standard packaging. The packaging! Quantity: 1.5 grams Price: $4 (around INR 500 if bought from Insta stores) Buy Here  ---> Colourpop Pressed Powder Eyeshadow                          color_popper_india                           Review: I am a sucker for warm eyeshadows. I was long looking for a warm brown (almost terracotta) eyeshadow and this is just the perfect one. The pigmentation is good and can be built as required. I primarily use this as my transition shade to blend the colours or even just on the lids to have s...

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

Hi everyone! I am yet again reviewing another product from Essence. I have been waiting too long to review this mascara. This is the third consecutive Essence product that I will be reviewing. It is the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara that I'm reviewing today. Not many people in India talk about this mascara so I've decided to put up my views on it. Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Packaging: The Essence Lash Princess Mascara (washable) comes is long, black tube with green detailing on it. I must say, the packaging is too attractive. The bristles on the wand are short and the wand has a tapered tip. The packaging! Ingredients List: Not mentioned. Quantity: 12ml Price: 449 INR The wand! Review: I have short and sparse eye lashes. The mascara has a thick formula which barely has any fragrance. The wand is suitable to be used on both the upper lashes as well as the lower lashes. It is a washable mascara and st...

Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Face Wash Review

Hello everyone. While I was browsing Nykaa and trying to add something to my cart to avoid paying shipping charges, I found a new face wash: Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Face Wash. I am a regular user of the Lacto Calamine Lotion for Oily Skin and on seeing a new launch from the same brand made me buy the face wash. On a regular basis I use a face wash that has been prescribed by my dermatologist. Packaging:  The face wash comes in a squeeze tube form and came wrapped with a clear film on the cap. The nozzle was sealed with a foil cap. Quantity:  50ml Price:  80 INR Ingredients: Lacto Calamine Face wash ingredients Claims: 3 way action for oil balance. 1. Kaolin - contains natural minerals that absorb excess oil without removing essential nutrients from the skin 2. Glycerin - retains natural moisture, prevents excessive drying of the skin 3. Neem - prevents pimples with its anti-germs properties.   Review:  I am using ...

Three things I apply on my face before going out in the sun

It's essential to treat our skin well before heading out in the scorching summer sun. And since summer has hit hard and early this time, so here are my essentials that I apply on my face before I go out in the summers. 1. An Ice cube: Surprised? Well, if you rub an ice cube on your face it controls perspiration or sweating. After you rub an ice cube, gently use a towel to soak the excess water and then wait for about a minute before you follow the second step. 2. Moisturizer: Please don't skip this step whatsoever, even if you have oily skin. I myself have oily skin and I always make sure to apply a pea-size amount of moisturizer every single day. I use Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion as it's very light yet moisturizes the skin very well. 3. Sunscreen: Last but not the least (rather the most important), sunscreen is a must all around the year and not just only in summers. My go to sunscreen in the summers is the Suncote Sunscreen with SPF 30. The Ice cu...

Dupe for Makeup Geek Chickadee! (Coloressence Vibgyor Matt Eye Shade: EM-2)

Hello there everyone. Today I'm reviewing Coloressence Vibgyor Matt Eye Shades in the shade EM-2. I previously purchased the shade EM-4 and have also reviewed it. EM-4 an absolute favorite of mine which led me to buy this shade. I bought this shade from Amazon and it came half broken (I was infuriated). Coloressence Eye Shade EM-2 Packaging: It is a single eye shadow and comes in black pot with a clear plastic on top which enables to see the colour of the shadow. It also mentions the manufacturing date, expiry date, quantity, price, etc. on the bottom of the pot. I really appreciate this sort of packaging as it gives me an overall idea about the product. The pot came in a black cardboard box with different information about the product. Packaging (it came broken!) Ingredients List: Terminalia belerica extract, soyabean oil (active ingredients only). Quantity: 3.5 grams Price: 200 INR Shelf Life: 3 years Review: The colour is a muted orange (with...

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Pencil - Glazed Toffee

Hello guys, hope you all are doing fine. It's been long since I've written a review. And it's going to be the review of the recently launched (in India) Maybelline  Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Pencil. Honestly, sometimes I doubt that whether it is butter or an eye pencil; it's that soft and I'm not kidding. And yet again this was a purchase from Nykaa and I got a 20% discount. Packaging: The eyeliner is in a pencil (can be sharpened) form and is very convenient to use since the gel liners that come in pot are often difficult to use especially foe newbies. The pencil is colour coded. Packaging Quantity: 1.1 grams Price : 499 INR Ingredients: ISODODECANE CYCLOPENTASILOXANE PEG/PPG-19/19 DIMETHICONE SYNTHETIC WAX HYDROGENATED POLYDICYCLOPENTADIENE NYLON-12 C20-40 ALCOHOLS PERFLUORONONYL DIMETHICONE POLYGLYCERYL-4 DIISOSTEARATE/POLYHYDROXYSTEARATE/SEBACATE SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE POLYETHYLENE CALCIUM ALUMINUM BOROSILICATE CALCIUM SODIUM BOROSILICATE ...

Island Kiss Tropique Pomade: Puerto Berry Blush

Hi guys. Hope everyone is doing well. It's already summer in Kolkata and I'm not enjoying the scorching sun. And today I'm going to tell you about a product which I bought 2 months back and have been putting it to test since. It is a tinted lip balm basically and it's from a brand called Island Kiss. I had bought it from Amazon at 50% discount mainly because I had to add something to my cart to avail free shipping. And honestly, I would not have bought this product if it were not on sale. But I quite like it now. So here's the review. Packaging: Well, honestly, the packaging is absolutely beautiful. The colour of the cardboard box corresponds to the colour of the product. It is in the form of a squeezy tube. I had no idea about the packaging before I got it and it's brilliant. And yes, the tube came in cardboard box withing another box. They've put a lot of thought in packaging. Box within a box! Quantity: 14g Price: 499 INR Ingredients : T...

Welcome to Colours On The Face

Hello to all my readers! Thank you so much for stopping by. I am Gautami and this is going to be my first ever blogpost and this blog is dedicated for matters relating to beauty and lifestyle. I am no expert in either of the two spheres mentioned but I have this penchant towards beauty as well as lifestyle. I believe that before saying anything else I must introduce myself. Well, you would know my name already if you haven't skipped the initial lines of this post. Nevertheless, I am Gautami Roy and I am a Biomedical Engineer. For a while I am going to follow this profession but I am quite sure that it won't be too long that I can see myself taking up some other job. I am basically a whimsical person; a friend of mine always says that I'm unpredictable - nobody knows my next move, neither do I. Other adjectives that can describe me well are insane, lazy, spontaneous, loving and caring (only for specific people though), short-tempered. So if you see anything random in...
