Faces Magneteyes Dramatic Volumizing Mascara - Review, Swatches

Hey everyone! I am writing down after ages. So I am starting anew with reviewing a mascara. Thank you so much if you're a returning reader. Cheers! Well, I believe, mascara is one independent component of makeup which pretty much turns around the whole look. These short shelf-lived warriors are must-haves and definitely be replaced every six months. And for that very reason, I rely on affordable ones. With so many brands now being available at our fingertips, across multiple channels, buyers are challenged to pick the best ones for themselves. Maybelline and Essence are known for their excellent collections of mascaras and influencers make us buy them. Today I'm sharing a lesser-known mascara from Faces Canada. It is from the range of Magneteyes. While I'm a big-time fan of the Faces Magneteyes Kajal , I had to try the Faces Magneteyes Mascara as well. Packaging: It is red a tube and has no non-sense packaging. The wand is pretty fat and has synthetic bristles, ...

Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner Pencil - Simma Brown Now

The cap is a transparent one and had all the details of the product stuck in it.   Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner Pencil - Simma Brown Now   Quantity: 1.4 grams Price: INR 135   Ingredients List: Beeswax/Cire d’abeille, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax/Cire de carnauba, Ceresin, Petrolatum, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Mica, Chromium Oxide Greens/CI 77288, Iron Oxides/CI 77491, CI 77499.   Swatches!! (Left: 1 swipe     Right: 3 swipes)   Review: Would you be in shock if I say that I use this kohl pencil as a brow pencil? I seriously do it. The texture is waxy enough to be used as a brow pencil. It isn't the smoothest kajal pencil but better than those which crumble o...

Nykaa Rock The Line Kajal - Review, Swatch

Hi everyone, today I am reviewing the Nykaa Rock The Line Kajal. Now you might be surprised to know the I just picked up this kajal as one fine day I had a whim of buying something and that something went on to be 4 things: 2 kajal pencils (one from Nykaa and the other from LA girl), a nail paint (from Essence) and a pack of cotton pads. Not that I needed any of those but you might know that us, the women folk, can be little frivolous when it comes to shopping. BTW, I got everything from Nykaa. I picked up this kajal because of the packaging (I love the colours used).    Nykaa Rock The Line Kajal   Packaging: The kajal comes in a retractable pink barrel with a black cap (looks pretty). This kajal comes in a cardboard package. Nykaa Rock The Line Kajal (the packaging) Quantity: 0.35 grams Price: 199 INR Review: I have a love-hate relationship with Nykaa Rock The Line Kajal. I love the matte black pigmentation of i...

Faces Magneteyes Kajal: Review, Swatch

Hello there! There are many days when an Indian woman, even after getting late, will not skip her kajal. It is rather an essential. Personally, I am not a fan of a stark black kajal but I always prefer brown; be it a simple line or a smokey eyes brown is my colour. In the past, I have used Lakme Eyeconic and Maybelline Colossal kajal but neither of them succeeded to impress me in terms of wear time or pigmentation. Hence, my liking for brown increased forever more. However, about a month back, I had a whim of giving black kajal another try and hence was in search for an affordable kajal available in India. So I researched and stumbled upon Faces Magneteyes Kajal which is an affordable kajal and also very pigmented. The packaging! Packaging: The kajal comes in a retractable red barrel (quite appealing to me). This kajal comes in a cardboard package (which I have already discarded). Quantity: 0.35 grams Twist up pen! Price: 175 INR Review: I love the pigme...

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

Hi everyone! I am yet again reviewing another product from Essence. I have been waiting too long to review this mascara. This is the third consecutive Essence product that I will be reviewing. It is the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara that I'm reviewing today. Not many people in India talk about this mascara so I've decided to put up my views on it. Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Packaging: The Essence Lash Princess Mascara (washable) comes is long, black tube with green detailing on it. I must say, the packaging is too attractive. The bristles on the wand are short and the wand has a tapered tip. The packaging! Ingredients List: Not mentioned. Quantity: 12ml Price: 449 INR The wand! Review: I have short and sparse eye lashes. The mascara has a thick formula which barely has any fragrance. The wand is suitable to be used on both the upper lashes as well as the lower lashes. It is a washable mascara and st...

Miss Claire Orange Corrector/Concealer

It's review time again. Due to my increasing dark circles, I bought an orange corrector to diminish/hide them. Clinique, NYX, LA Girl, Kryolan and many other brands have orange corrector. I intended to buy the Kryolan one but they have increased the price of the 4 grams pot from 350 INR to 750 INR (I inquired in some stores at New Market). So finally I bought the Miss Claire one. I wasn't too keen on getting it as I know most of the Miss Claire products contain parabens; to my sweet surprise, this didn't. Packaging:  The corrector comes in a small, transparent, acrylic pot with a black cap. The pot is compact and travel friendly. Packaging of Miss Claire Orange Corrector Ingredients List: Ingredients List Quantity:  6 grams Price:  250 INR The product! Review:  The first thing you will notice on opening the pot is that it is too orange but on blending it becomes a light orange more with yellow undertones. Since this has a strong ...

Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Face Wash Review

Hello everyone. While I was browsing Nykaa and trying to add something to my cart to avoid paying shipping charges, I found a new face wash: Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Face Wash. I am a regular user of the Lacto Calamine Lotion for Oily Skin and on seeing a new launch from the same brand made me buy the face wash. On a regular basis I use a face wash that has been prescribed by my dermatologist. Packaging:  The face wash comes in a squeeze tube form and came wrapped with a clear film on the cap. The nozzle was sealed with a foil cap. Quantity:  50ml Price:  80 INR Ingredients: Lacto Calamine Face wash ingredients Claims: 3 way action for oil balance. 1. Kaolin - contains natural minerals that absorb excess oil without removing essential nutrients from the skin 2. Glycerin - retains natural moisture, prevents excessive drying of the skin 3. Inglot Freedom System Concealer - MW100

Review time. And this time it's a concealer. I never used concealers before but after I got this I must say I quite enjoy concealing. Now, there are many budget concealers available in the market but I chose Inglot over most others because I believe Inglot concealers are not too talked about and I wanted to experiment as I have no frame of reference to judge it. I will not say that I'm too happy with the concealer mainly because I chose a wrong shade for concealing (thanks to the SA as well!) and it creases a little when used around the eyes. But it works as a highlighting concealer for me, so that's good. The shade that I got is MW100. Packaging:  Since it is from the Freedom System so it comes in a metal square pan which is meant to be stored in a Z-palette. I don't have a Z-palette so I've stored it in an old compact case. The pan was enclosed in a hard plastic cover which came in a black cardboard box.   The packaging The pan (look at the damag...

Maybelline Colossal Kohl Pencils - Why we still love them?

It has been years since Maybelline launched the Colossal line which included some incredible products that gained much popularity among the ladies. And one such product was the Maybelline Colossal Kohl pencils which came in 4 shades. This is not a review of the much loved kohl pencils but just a glimpse of why we loved it so much and will still continue loving them. When I first bought Jewelled Jade, I was still in college. The colour, the formula, the price made me smitten to this even more. I have repurchased the same shade along with Crushed Emerald and Smoked Silver about 4 months back. Maybelline has recently come up with the Lasting Drama Eyestudio Gel Liner Pencils (the shades and the formula are bang on) but I still feel the Colossal Kohl pencils have a special place in our hearts as one of the earlier used coloured kohl pencils. Maybelline Colossal Kohl Pencils Why we loved them? Shades: Apart from Black, there are 4 more shades, Crushed Emerald, Jewelled Jade, ...

Dupe for Makeup Geek Chickadee! (Coloressence Vibgyor Matt Eye Shade: EM-2)

Hello there everyone. Today I'm reviewing Coloressence Vibgyor Matt Eye Shades in the shade EM-2. I previously purchased the shade EM-4 and have also reviewed it. EM-4 an absolute favorite of mine which led me to buy this shade. I bought this shade from Amazon and it came half broken (I was infuriated). Coloressence Eye Shade EM-2 Packaging: It is a single eye shadow and comes in black pot with a clear plastic on top which enables to see the colour of the shadow. It also mentions the manufacturing date, expiry date, quantity, price, etc. on the bottom of the pot. I really appreciate this sort of packaging as it gives me an overall idea about the product. The pot came in a black cardboard box with different information about the product. Packaging (it came broken!) Ingredients List: Terminalia belerica extract, soyabean oil (active ingredients only). Quantity: 3.5 grams Price: 200 INR Shelf Life: 3 years Review: The colour is a muted orange (with...
