Three things I apply on my face before going out in the sun

It's essential to treat our skin well before heading out in the scorching summer sun. And since summer has hit hard and early this time, so here are my essentials that I apply on my face before I go out in the summers. 1. An Ice cube: Surprised? Well, if you rub an ice cube on your face it controls perspiration or sweating. After you rub an ice cube, gently use a towel to soak the excess water and then wait for about a minute before you follow the second step. 2. Moisturizer: Please don't skip this step whatsoever, even if you have oily skin. I myself have oily skin and I always make sure to apply a pea-size amount of moisturizer every single day. I use Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion as it's very light yet moisturizes the skin very well. 3. Sunscreen: Last but not the least (rather the most important), sunscreen is a must all around the year and not just only in summers. My go to sunscreen in the summers is the Suncote Sunscreen with SPF 30. The Ice cu

Maybelline Colossal Kohl Pencils - Why we still love them?

It has been years since Maybelline launched the Colossal line which included some incredible products that gained much popularity among the ladies. And one such product was the Maybelline Colossal Kohl pencils which came in 4 shades. This is not a review of the much loved kohl pencils but just a glimpse of why we loved it so much and will still continue loving them. When I first bought Jewelled Jade, I was still in college. The colour, the formula, the price made me smitten to this even more. I have repurchased the same shade along with Crushed Emerald and Smoked Silver about 4 months back. Maybelline has recently come up with the Lasting Drama Eyestudio Gel Liner Pencils (the shades and the formula are bang on) but I still feel the Colossal Kohl pencils have a special place in our hearts as one of the earlier used coloured kohl pencils. Maybelline Colossal Kohl Pencils Why we loved them? Shades: Apart from Black, there are 4 more shades, Crushed Emerald, Jewelled Jade,

Dupe for Makeup Geek Chickadee! (Coloressence Vibgyor Matt Eye Shade: EM-2)

Hello there everyone. Today I'm reviewing Coloressence Vibgyor Matt Eye Shades in the shade EM-2. I previously purchased the shade EM-4 and have also reviewed it. EM-4 an absolute favorite of mine which led me to buy this shade. I bought this shade from Amazon and it came half broken (I was infuriated). Coloressence Eye Shade EM-2 Packaging: It is a single eye shadow and comes in black pot with a clear plastic on top which enables to see the colour of the shadow. It also mentions the manufacturing date, expiry date, quantity, price, etc. on the bottom of the pot. I really appreciate this sort of packaging as it gives me an overall idea about the product. The pot came in a black cardboard box with different information about the product. Packaging (it came broken!) Ingredients List: Terminalia belerica extract, soyabean oil (active ingredients only). Quantity: 3.5 grams Price: 200 INR Shelf Life: 3 years Review: The colour is a muted orange (with

Why I started Colours on the Face!

It's been quite sometime that I've started this blog. If you've taken a little tour on my blog then you would know that this blog contains reviews of makeup products, tips and tricks associated with it and so on so forth. I welcome you to my blog and wish that find the posts helpful and worth the while. Before knowing about my blog, you should know me first. To begin with, my name is Gautami Roy. Professionally, I'm an engineer and I've been working for about a year now. Since I started working, I developed a fascination for makeup. When I was in college I had no idea, whatsoever, about proper makeup (like blending makeup, contouring, etc.); all I had back then was an eyeliner, a brown kohl pencil and a lip balm and I didn't even have a lipstick! I never bothered my parents about buying me makeup but I tried to look decent with my minimal resources and shared my mother's compact, lipstick, etc. Even now, I don't have a huge makeup collection but I try

Gala of London Liquid Lipsticks - Twig & Passion

Hello there everyone. Today I'm reviewing liquid lipsticks from a brand called Gala of London. They are very affordable liquid lipsticks and the colours of the lipsticks are stunning and so I got them from Nykaa. Gala of London is an Indian drugstore brand which offers many makeup products at an affordable rate. The colours from the Long Stay Lip Colour are mainly from the groups of reds, bright pinks, plums and oranges. Packaging: The liquid lipsticks come in a bottle with a silver cap and looks pretty cheap. The applicator is a doe-foot applicator and does its job fairly well. The lipsticks come in a silver cardboard box with information about the lipstick mentioned on it. Outer packaging The lipstick with the applicators Quantity: 1.6ml Price:  250 INR Key Ingredients: Ozokerite Wax, White Bees Wax, Candellila Wax, Light liquid Paraffin, Caprilic Capric Triglyceride, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter Organic Refined, Paraffin, Vitamin E, Perfume, Castor Oi

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Pencil - Glazed Toffee

Hello guys, hope you all are doing fine. It's been long since I've written a review. And it's going to be the review of the recently launched (in India) Maybelline  Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Pencil. Honestly, sometimes I doubt that whether it is butter or an eye pencil; it's that soft and I'm not kidding. And yet again this was a purchase from Nykaa and I got a 20% discount. Packaging: The eyeliner is in a pencil (can be sharpened) form and is very convenient to use since the gel liners that come in pot are often difficult to use especially foe newbies. The pencil is colour coded.
