Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

Hi everyone! I am yet again reviewing another product from Essence. I have been waiting too long to review this mascara. This is the third consecutive Essence product that I will be reviewing. It is the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara that I'm reviewing today. Not many people in India talk about this mascara so I've decided to put up my views on it.

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

Packaging:
The Essence Lash Princess Mascara (washable) comes is long, black tube with green detailing on it. I must say, the packaging is too attractive. The bristles on the wand are short and the wand has a tapered tip.

The wand!

Review:
I have short and sparse eye lashes. The mascara has a thick formula which barely has any fragrance. The wand is suitable to be used on both the upper lashes as well as the lower lashes. It is a washable mascara and stays put unless you splash water on your eyes or get drenched in rain. If your skin around your eyes sweat you may skip this as it will smear all over. This mascara is claims that it will give you false lash effect and that is true provided you know how to use this. This truly adds volume as well as length. It can make your eye lashes look spidery if you get rid off the excess product on the wand. If you are scared of using false lashes (like me!), you can definitely give this mascara a try.  One coat gives you slight volume and length. On applying two coats you will have dramatic, spidery lashes with maximum volume and length.

How I use this mascara?
To add length - For times when I just want to have some length and no volume, I get rid off the excess mascara and apply the rest on the tips of my lashes. It helps to make my lashes look fluttery.
To add volume - I take the wand and start applying the mascara from the roots of my lashes. I apply 2 coats followed by using Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara to spread out the lashes. This adds volume and length too.
Tip: If you ever buy the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, do not discard the wand after the product gets over. Clean the wand and sanitize it once a week to keep it free from bacteria. Trust me, that wand is a magic wand when it comes to mascara.

Without mascara

With one coat mascara

With two coats of mascara

Pros:
  • Gives volume and length and curls too in 2 coats
  • Affordable
  • Easy to remove
  • Can easily be applied on lower lashes
  • Stays until you splash water

Cons:
  • Not waterproof
  • Clumps easily and may flake

Final Verdict:
4/5. I love this mascara in spite of it not being waterproof. If you are looking for a mascara that'll give you dramatic lashes at an affordable price, this one is for you.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner Pencil - Simma Brown Now

Packaging:   It ha s colour-coded packaging and hence brown in colour. It is a very long pencil (it might last me for a decade) that needs to be sharpened after 4-5 uses. The cap is a transparent one and had all the details of the product stuck in it.   Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Liner Pencil - Simma Brown Now   Quantity: 1.4 grams Price: INR 135   Ingredients List: Beeswax/Cire d’abeille, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax/Cire de carnauba, Ceresin, Petrolatum, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Mica, Chromium Oxide Greens/CI 77288, Iron Oxides/CI 77491, CI 77499.   Swatches!! (Left: 1 swipe     Right: 3 swipes)   Review: Would you be in shock if I say that I use this kohl pencil as a brow pencil? I seriously do it. The texture is waxy enough to be used as a brow pencil. It isn't the smoothest kajal pencil but better than those which crumble on account of their softness. Hence, I use it

Suncros Aquagel SPF 26 Review

Hello everyone. Today I'm going to review a sunscreen which is the Suncros Aquagel Sunscreen with spf 26. Of late I am only using products that are paraben free. As most of you know, paraben is a class of compounds that are used in cosmetics as a preservative. Although parabens help to keep our makeup and skin care products bacteria free, however it is said cause hormonal disturbance in our body. Hence, I prefer to be on the safer  side. I have used sunscreens from Lakme, Lotus, Khadi, Neutrogena and they all contain paraben. The Khadi sunscreen claims to be paraben free but I don't like its texture. On much research and consultation with a dermatologist I came across Suncros sunscreen. Suncros Aquagel Spf 26 Now, Suncros has many variants of sunscreens. You can find both cream and gel formulae sunscreens. Although this one has the term "gel"  in it, but the texture is actually that of a cream.  Packaging:   The sunscreen comes in a cubical c
